North Bay ski racers soar at Aginco Eagle Classic

More than 100 athletes from Ontario and Quebec participated in slalom and giant slalom events.

North Bay Ski Racing Club (NBSRC) athletes turned in podium finishes this past weekend at the Agnico Eagle Classic held at Laurentian Ski Hill.   

More than 100 young athletes (U12, U10, U8, U6) hailing from North Bay, Sudbury, Timmins, Elliot Lake, Mattawa, Sault Ste. Marie and Mont Kanasuta (Quebec) participated in slalom and giant slalom events. 

“Our club is incredibly grateful for the generosity of Agnico Eagle Mines,” says, Christine Wasylciw, NBSRC President. 

“Through their sponsorship of our ski race they helped inspire future champions and we look forward to many more years of working together to support ski racing in the North.”

Podium (top 3) finishes from NBSRC athletes included:

U8: Connor Corbeil (1st)

U8: Cameron Boyce (1st)

U12: Emma Chute (3rd)
