Baseball Day in the Bay was a success again.

The North Bay Food Bank was the real winner again during the third annual Baseball Day in the Bay event on Saturday at Veteran's Field in North Bay.

"What an incredible day our third annual event turned out to be," said Jacob Brown, event organizer.

"Fantastic weather, great action, and wonderful contributions to our North Bay Food Bank."

Debbie Marson, executive director at the North Bay Food Bank felt the event was a great way to showcase baseball in North Bay while supporting the North Bay Food Bank.

"Jacob Brown and his entire team of volunteers organized an amazing event for all to participate in and enjoy while bringing in over 2,200 pounds to help the Food Bank's fixed address hamper program," said Marson.

"Our need is continually increasing and events like Baseball Day In The Bay ensure we can continue to help those facing food insecurity in their homes."

The event featured youth baseball and softball capped off with adult programming at the end of the day including a men's league Banana Ball game.

The event takes place annually due to a successful working relationship between the North Bay Men's Baseball League, the North Bay Baseball Association, and the North Bay Minor Girls Softball Association.
