This past weekend, the number one-seeded Trillium level North Bay Youth Volleyball Club Lakers U17G team travelled to Richmond Hill for the Ontario Volleyball Association Challenge Cup.
This was the second tournament of the 2018-19 season.
After charging through the morning’s pool play undefeated, the Lakers U17 girls continued without a loss through their quarter and semifinal games.
The team captured the tournament’s gold medal in two sets against the Richmond Hill Thundercat Black 2-0 (25-20, 25-14).
