Elite Alpine Ski Cross’ very own Lexi Ransom (Sudbury) and Cameron Gray have been selected to try out for the Canada Ski Cross Development team.  Only 15 athletes from across Canada have been selected to attend, 5 being from Ontario (Lexi Ransom, Cameron Gray, Jake Mealey, Reece Ralph, and Amy Kress).  This is a huge milestone for Elite Alpine Ski Cross, NOD (Northern Ontario Division), as well as AOA (Alpine Ontario) in developing Ski Cross in Ontario.

Ransom and Gray are currently training with the Canada Ski Cross Development team in Sunshine, Alberta along with members of the World Cup team.

Some of the athletes in attendance that Ransom and Gray are training with include Ski Cross Olympic medalists Kelsey Serwa, Brittany Phelan and Marielle Thompson.

The Camp started on May 2nd and runs through to May 9th.  The evaluation portion runs from May 10th through to May 13th.

Elite Alpine Ski Cross’ Head Coach, Jason Sullivan, is in attendance for his second year, as Sullivan has been invited to assist the World Cup and Development team coaches throughout the camp and the evaluation process.

Evaluation will consist of both on-hill and off-hill skills; specifically, technical freeskiing, GS, Ski Cross track time, strength and conditioning.

Elite Alpine Ski Cross is very proud of Ransom and Gray, and would like to wish them the best of luck, as this a very exciting time in their life.
