The North Bay Midget AA Ice Boltz finished in a 1-1 draw against the #1 ranked Sudbury Lady Wolves in the OWHA league play on Wednesday night at Memorial Gardens.

The game was an exciting, face paced and physical affair between the two rivals.  After the Wolves opened the scoring in the opening frame, Malory Dominico got the equalizer on a scramble in front of the Wolves net.  Alexa Corneil was credited with the assist on the Ice Boltz lone goal.

Ray Irwin, the Ice Boltz Head Coach, was impressed with the draw, but wanted more.

"Sudbury is a very experienced team and I thought we did a good job of limiting their scoring opportunities and neutralizing their power play,” said Irwin.

"We are going to face Sudbury a few more times in both league play and OWHA playdowns so we have to find a way to capitalize on our scoring chances if we are going to win games. Tonight was a great test but we have a lot more work to put in."
