Michael Amadio added a shorthanded marker for insurance as the Troops move to 8-8-1-1 on the season with the road victory in Sudbury.
Brett McKenzie sealed the win with an empty netter at 18:51 of the final frame.

Jake Kment got the win for the Battalion as he turned away 21 shots.

North Bay native Danny Desrochers and Brandon Bastasin replied for the Wolves.

For Harland it was his first two OHL goals after being called up from the Powassan Voodoos last week.

The 2014 Battalion 6th round pick netted a pair of goals in the second period as he broke a 1-1 tie at 2:13 to make it 2-1 Battalion and then midway through the second stanza Harland netted his second on the power play which proved to be the game winner.

"It's really special, especially coming into this league and trying to get used to the pace," said the 19-year-old Harland who led the NOJHL in scoring in 14-15 with 95 points.

"I'm still getting used to it but it's good to get the first couple off my chest."

Vertiy, made his debut for the Battalion, registering a 2-point game.  He was acquired mid week in a trade with the Windsor Spitfires.

The Battalion is back in action on Sunday afternoon as they host the Barrie Colts.  Puck drop is set for 2 p.m. at Memorial Gardens.
