École Secondaire Catholique Algonquin held its 49th annual Athletic Awards banquet on June 14th at the Grande Event Centre.
The Barons had their most successful year in school history as they amassed a total of 16 NDA Championship Banners.
The Major Award Winners were as follows:
Junior Girl’s Athlete of the Year – Roxanne Rochon
Junior Boy’s Athlete of the Year – Simon Giroux
Senior Girl’s Athlete of the Year – Dominique Baldasaro
Senior Boy’s Athlete of the Year – Zacharie Martel
Unsung Hero Awards winners are as follows :
Junior Girl’s – Jenna Couch
Junior Boy’s – Logan Roy
Senior Girl’s – Mélina Levasseur
Senior Boy’s – David McGill
The Colin Hood Awards for students that combine 4 years of athletics while maintaining a higher than average academic standing were Josée Rochon and Forrest Herman
The Colin Hood Coaches Award was given to longtime teacher-coach Linda Bélanger-Aubin.
