The Ontario Provincial Police will join local emergency services in the first annual Police vs Firefighters hockey game, organized by the Mattawa Fire Department.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mike Rodden Arena, located at 450 Hurdman Street in Mattawa.

Firefighters from the Mattawa Fire Department, Papineau Fire Department, and Calvin Fire Department will take to the ice alongside officers from the OPP and North Bay Police Service for a friendly yet competitive game, all in support of a great cause.

While there is no set entry fee, attendees are encouraged to bring cash donations or non-perishable food items to support a local food bank. This initiative aims to assist individuals and families in need within the community while fostering positive relationships between first responders and the public.
