The Rotary Club of Nipissing has recently launched two virtual fundraisers to fund community projects.
"The past year has been a very difficult one for many service clubs as traditional fundraising efforts have had to be shut down or be modified," said a club release. "However, the requests for assistance have not disappeared and we have been searching for ways to continue our community support while meeting all COVID19 guidelines. It’s hoped these fundraisers will raise much-needed funds to allow our club to continue to help organizations and individuals in North Bay and area while also providing supporters with products for their personal use."
The Rotary Club of Nipissing has recently made a 3-year pledge to support the new building at the North Bay Humane Society and this fundraiser is the first to raise funds for the construction.
"Our PET FIRST AID KIT fundraising event happens June 12th alongside a Microchip clinic and Yard Sale at the Humane Society. Supporters can pre-order their First Aid Pet Pack by May 27th and then pick them up on the 12th. A perfect hands-free addition to any walk in case of injury. Even if you aren't a pet owner these are a very handy item to keep an emergency pack at the cottage or in your car and all proceeds support the Humane Society.
"Our Rotary club is selling Rain Barrels just in time for summer gardening. They save you money on your water bill while providing the plants with much needed nourishment. Save water and the environment by purchasing a rain barrel. Please pre-order at www.rainbarrel.ca/Nipissing.
Our members will be on hand for Barrel pick up on Sat. June 12th, with all proceeds going to local Rotary projects.
