The Knights of Columbus in North Bay recently presented Nipissing Serenity Hospice with a cheque for $10,000, bringing their total donation to $15,000.

Gil Pharand, Executive Director of Nipissing Serenity Hospice notes, “Support from groups like Knights of Columbus is so valuable to our community Hospice. We have a great, longstanding relationship with the Knights of Columbus in North Bay and their generosity never ceases to amaze us."

Since opening in January, there have been more than 65 people through the doors to share their end of life.

"Without the support of our region, it would be difficult to provide the excellence in hospice palliative care that we do,” added Pharand.

Joe Sinicrope of the Knights of Columbus Council 12030 agrees.

“The Knights of Columbus, and especially Council 12030, have been supporters of the Nipissing Serenity Hospice since the very beginning. We support the Hospice because we know of the good work that they do for people who are in need at a time when they need help the most: at the end of their lives.”
