The North Bay Public Library is running the TD Summer Reading Club again this summer. This program is Canada’s biggest, bilingual summer reading program for kids of all interests and abilities. It is a free program that celebrates Canadian authors, illustrators, and stories. This year’s club activities will take place mostly online or at home.

Participants are encouraged to track their reading this summer by either creating an online notebook by signing up online or by picking up a reader kit from the NBPL after calling the library to register for the program. Those who sign up online are encouraged to email the library at [email protected] to let us know you’ve registered.

Though there will not be in-person programs or activities, there will be other activities planned including online storytimes, craft “kits t-go” and weekly challenges through the library’s social media. There will also be prizes that will be drawn for throughout the program.

This year, the library is also taking part in the TD StoryWalk project. This project is a fun, socially distanced activity that places a children’s book, page by page, on laminated poster boards along a path. This will be placed along the outside of the library, leading to the Worthington St. doors of the building from July 12-16, 2021. The StoryWalk is being shared with Callander Public Library and will be set up there from July 19-31, 2021.

Sign up for the TD Summer Reading Club today by calling the North Bay Public Library at 705-474-4830 or by visiting tdsummerreadingclub.ca.
