Back when groups could gather larger than five and restaurants were open, the Rotaract Club of North Bay – Nipissing hosted their sixth annual Poutine, Pints and Plaid event. Over 250 people raised $7,000 for the North Bay and District Humane Society.
The event uses poutine, pints, games and music to support local initiatives.
“At the time we didn’t realize that Poutine, Pints and Plaid would be one of the last times a large group would be gathered together – at least for the foreseeable future – or the need for the funds raised would be as important as they are today," said Brittany Chaput, Club President.

“With the support of our sponsors we have been able to grow this event from roughly 80 attendees raising a total of $1,000 to more than 250 attendees and $7,000 raised,” explains Valerie Edmunds, Poutine, Pints and Plaid Co-chair. “Although we don’t know what the future holds we hope that we will be able to continue to keep the Poutine, Pints and Plaid tradition alive in 2021.”
The Rotaract Club of North Bay – Nipissing is a service club in North Bay for individuals ages 18- 40 years of age.
