North Bay is once again the host of Mining Week.
This event, presented by The Canadian Institute for Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum - Northern Gateway Branch, is a collaboration between community partners and will focus on the importance of the mining industry to the local economy. The event will run from May 13 to May 17 and activities will take place throughout the city.
The mining sector is a significant contributor to North Bay’s economy. The organizers want to use the Mining Week format to inform the community about the many opportunities in mining and to highlight how international and innovative local mining groups are.
“We are very excited our events are attracting interest and attendees from all over Ontario. We invite the community to come out and enjoy all of our events!” says Rachel Cranford North Bay Mining Week Chair.
