The time of year when darkness descends is upon us.
Yet it is the contrast of the darkness that allows light to shine at its brightest! Warm lights glow from windows in the early evening and soon coloured lights will light up the snow-covered streets.
Dotted throughout the city busy kitchens are preparing for the upcoming holiday season and volunteers are baking up a storm to fill plates of goodies for Christmas bazaars and bake sales.
The cozy old kitchen at Trinity United Church in downtown North Bay is heating up and the warm lights emanating from one of the oldest church buildings in our city beckon all to join in the festivities! Activities for children and youth (grades 7-post-secondary) are a highlight! The many fundraising activities support the food/infant food banks and church programs.
