North Bay Pride is announcing the following for pride events Sept 14 through 18.
"You have seen her on Canada’s drag Race. You have seen her on RuPaul’s UK vs The World. We are happy to announce that LEMON will be a co host for the drag persona contest finals on Thursday Sept 15, being held at The Capitol Centre," says a news release.
If you want to try out, simply send a one-minute video of you, a picture of you in drag and a 100-word bio to [email protected] on or before July 30. The video cannot have already been posted on any social media platforms.
Jason Maclennan, Communications Director for North Bay Pride said “It is truly amazing what North Bay Pride can do as a rural pride. We are bringing in talent that many folks never get to see or meet, which says a lot about North Bay. This year, being in person again is something we cannot wait to do. Lemon is a great host, and we look forward to them meeting the real North Bay!”
Maclennan continued, “We do not have big budgets like Calgary or Vancouver, but we have creativity, determined people that make things happen. North Bay Pride has done things that many cannot even think of, yet they are doing it. Does not matter if it's politics, shows, drag, or concerts, they go big or they do nothing, and that is impressive if you understand the lack of sponsorship and funding small prides get in Canada. One day, small prides like North Bay, will be seen as rewarding as any other large prides and we will make it happen.”
