Giving Tuesday is a global movement to do better for each other and the planet, through acts of generosity.
The Capitol Centre, North Bay's home for Arts and Entertainment, is asking you to consider it on this Giving Tuesday so that it can continue to offer diverse and accessible programming. Donations support programs like Free Family Films, complimentary tickets to local social service agencies, and the continued operation of the WKP Kennedy Gallery as a free and public art gallery.
Donations can be made online, or by contacting the Redpath Box Office.
In 2023, the Capitol Centre has screened 8 FREE Family Films, and has 2 more planned for December, at the cost of approximately $850 per screening, and are free to attend.
The Next Generation Education Series (click here to learn more), gave approximately 4,000 local students the opportunity to attend a specially-curated performance at the Capitol Centre at no cost to the student.
For the 2022-23 Season (Sept. 2022-April 2023), 4,095 patrons visited the WKP Kennedy Gallery for free,
The Capitol Centre hosts an annual Open House for families to attend, free of charge. Crafts, holiday films, treats, face painting, and a sing-along are typically included. Here is the link to this year's event: Children's Holiday Open House
Over 25 local organizations are included in our Arts for All program which provides complimentary tickets to local service groups, allowing those who may not otherwise have access to tickets to attend performances.
Donations, as well as Corporate Sponsorships and other fundraising initiatives, help to offset the costs and keep these fantastic programs running, as well as keeping ticket prices as low as possible.
