Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli announced Tuesday that applications are open for the 2024-25 Heritage Organization Development Grant (HODG).

The HODG grant is an annual operating grant of up to $1,545 that helps over 160 heritage organizations from across the province inform and educate the public about the history of their communities.

“The HODG program provides historical societies, museums and other heritage associations located throughout the province with a portion of their annual operating support,” said MPP Fedeli. “We encourage our local non-profit heritage organizations to apply for funding.”

Eligible recipients are non-profit corporations, with their head office in the Province of Ontario, that are actively involved in local outreach activities such as the production of displays and promotional materials, public programs, lecture series, walking tours and special activities designed to inform and educate the general public about their community heritage.
