The North Bay YMCA will be offering outdoor fitness classes next week.
Classes have been offered virtually for seven weeks on Facebook but General Manager of Health, Fitness and Aquatics,YMCA of Northeastern Ontario Kendra MacIsaac says this is something new.
With the facility still officially closed to the public, the YMCA will have classes in Dynamic Boxing next Tuesday and Boot Camp next Thursday to start and go from there.
According to the YMCA website, the classes will take place behind the North Bay YMCA.
“We are going to gauge interest and we’ll add additional classes based on demand and instructor availability is a key factor too,” MacIssac told CKAT.
She says due to physical distancing classes will be limited to nine people.
"Your safety and well-being is always our priority, so we ask that you please continue to physical distance between other attendees," the YMCA website stated.
"Markers will be placed on the ground and hand sanitizer will also be available. There is a fee for the outdoor classes and it is based on how many classes a week that you would like to join. Payment can be done over the phone when you register."
You can register as of Wednesday at 10 am. For more go to www.ymcaneo.ca
