Expect reduced visibility due to a combination of snow and blowing snow. today.

We could see 5 to 15 cm of snowfall with strong wind gusts up to 80 km/h this morning into this evening.

Snow at times will be heavy along with reduced visibility. Conditions will continue into this evening. Conditions may be particularly dangerous as a sharp cold front moves through this afternoon or early this evening which could produce near-zero visibility in bursts of heavy snow and blowing snow along with a sharp temperature drop.

A frontal snow squall warning may be required as the cold front draws nearer.

Due to the general high winds expected, these winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Power outages are also possible.

Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Avoid travel if possible. If you must drive, be prepared for areas of poor visibility.

  • Sudbury
  • Huntsville
  • South River - Burk's Falls
  • Temiskaming Shores - Temagami
