Workforce Week promoting jobs in the region

Individuals and businesses from North Bay, Burks Falls and Parry Sound regions are being highlighted this week as part of Workforce Week 2024. 

The Labour Market Group is hosting the week-long event described as "a dynamic series of events aimed at empowering individuals and businesses in the area to thrive in today's ever-evolving workforce landscape.

"From April 22 to April 26, attendees can participate in a range of engaging activities designed to foster skill development, networking opportunities, and collaboration," a release continued. 

The Grande Event Centre on Main Street will be hosting the events which is supported by more than 30 employers in the North Bay area. 

"We are excited to host Workforce Week 2024 and provide a platform for individuals to explore new career opportunities, enhance their skills, and connect with industry leaders," said Stacie Fiddler, Executive Director at the Labour Market Group. 

The event will be highlighted by the Bay Works Job Fair which takes place on Thursday.  

"Join us in supporting local talent and businesses at our community job fair, where job seekers can connect with employers offering a wide range of employment opportunities," the release stated.
