Witness grabs attacker in Lucky 13 robbery

North Bay police have arrested a man for arson

Police are crediting witnesses with restraining a woman they believed stabbed an employee of a convenience store multiple times Saturday morning. 

A woman has been charged with assault with a weapon and robbery in the case.

At 7:50 a.m. on October 21, a woman entered a gas station on McKeown Avenue and approached the victim, who is an employee. She asked to buy several packs of cigarettes.

While the employee turned to get the product, the attacker stabbed the victim multiple times using a knife.

Police say witnesses at the scene restrained the woman until police arrived and arrested the woman.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the victim and accused are not known to one another.

Alicia Seguin, 47, of North Bay, is charged with:

  • Aggravated assault
  • Carrying a concealed weapon
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Robbery with violence

Seguin was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
