Nipissing-Parry Sound Student Transportation has announced this morning that all area school buses are cancelled. The cancellation is because plows have not been out so there is still a lot of snow on the ground. A very slick surface under the snow is making it very slippery.
The corridors affected by these cancellations are as follows:

North Bay
Trout Lake/Four Mile Lake Rd.
Redbridge /Thorne
East Parry Sound North - North of and including Hwy 522
- Port Loring/Restoule
- Nipissing/Commanda
- Powassan/Trout Creek
East Parry Sound South - South of Hwy 522
- South River/Sundridge
- Burk’s Falls/Magnetawan
- Katrine/Emsdale/Kearney/Sprucedale/Novar
- Affects bussing for all Almaguin Highlands Secondary School
NPSSTS stands for Nipissing-Parry Sound Student Transportation Services. We are a consortium governed by a Board of Directors made up of a representative from each of our four local member school boards (Near North District School Board, Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board, Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l'Ontario, and Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord). We arrange transportation services for students of these boards and apply any harmonized guidelines for the provision of services to all students.
