Warning Bear and cub sighting on escarpment

The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority is warning that a black bear sow and cubs were sighted yesterday in the Laurentian Escarpment Conservation Area, east of Janey Ave. and along the hydro corridor.

"If hiking or biking in this area, please be 'bearwise,'" says Troy Storms pf the Authority. "A sign has been erected at the trailhead and will remain there for 72 hours advising those using the trails of the bear sighting.
