The Renfrew Wolves scored two times in each period as they fended off the Powassan Voodoos 6-3 at the Valley Cottage Cup in Renfrew, Ontario this weekend.
Battalion prospect Reyth Smith, Jackson Culin, and veteran Mathieu Macmillan scored for the Voodoos. Culin, a North Bay product also added an assist in the setback.
Tyson Wilcox and Jackson Curran both saw time in net for the Voodoos, seeing a combined 56 shots put their way in the loss.
Josh Penney led the host Wolves with 2 goals.
The loss drops the Voodoos to 0-2 at the NOJHL-CCHL event which wraps up on Sunday.
The Voodoos are back in action at 6 p.m. as they face the Carleton Place Canadians.
