An investigation by D/Cst Helen Boissonneault into a business called Community Colouring Book has resulted in 25 counts of Fraud Under $5000.00 being laid against Nicole Bessette 29yrs of McNamara Av.
An additional 7 counts of Fraud under $5000.00 were laid against Jason Gould 26yrs also of McNamara Av.
Allegations are that Nicole Bessette created and obtained a business licence and made presentations to businesses to sell advertising space in a colouring book. The proceeds were to go to the North Bay Food Bank who knew nothing about this campaign and in no way endorsed it.
Approximately 24 Businesses were defrauded of approximately $2400.
Both persons are to appear in court on 30 Nov 2010.
