Ever try coming out of the McDonald's exit onto McKeown and someone is trying to turn left, forcing a long line of cars turning right to wait?
That shouldn't be a problem now that the city has erected a sign prohibiting left-hand turns there.
Cst. Ken Ayres, Traffic Enforcement Officer, told BayToday that the move was made in response to public complaints.
"I was receiving complaints through the traffic office here. When you exit the McDonald's you'll notice that there isn't a median but a lip in the road and it also curves to the right, suggesting to drivers they have to go to the right. It would be helpful if it was higher, then they'd be forced to go to the right."
Anyone caught turning left will face a charge of "disobeying sign."
The fine says Ayres, is $85 and with victim surcharge and court costs it adds up to $110.
