The man who headed Summer in the Park for the past three years is stepping aside.

John Strang, the owner of U-Need A Cab says he'll be spending more time taking care of his business. Chamber of Commerce President Jake Lacourse will also leave the committee.

"I've put a lot of focus in the last three years with Summer in the Park, but it's time," said Strang. "We felt it was the right time for Jake and I to step aside and let some new blood come into it.

"I never intended to be there for three years. It just happened to work out that way. I had a great time with a great committee but it was time to step back."

The executive committee is made up of three North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce members and three City of North Bay members.

No replacements have been announced.
