Poutine, Pints & Plaid is back in action and making the move for its eighth edition to the main campus.
This year’s event will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, at the Education Centre cafeteria, at 100 College Dr. in North Bay.
All proceeds will support local area food banks and other Rotary projects. Community food banks help redistribute nutritious and culturally appropriate food to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
“We are so excited to support such a worthy cause within the community and love that we can also play a part in keeping Poutine, Pints & Plaid a fun event for everyone to attend,” stated Jonathan Jolkowski, president of the Rotary Club of Nipissing.
As in years past, the event will feature an All You Can Eat gourmet poutine bar, DJ entertainment and dancing, some games as well as some fine Canadian plaid décor (and of course a refreshing beverage or two).
This event was initially established by the Rotaract Club of North Bay Nipissing, founded by the Nipissing Rotary Club in 2009. Unfortunately, after 14 years of supporting local community initiatives and organizations, the Rotaract Club ceased operating in 2023. Poutine, Pints & Plaid has already evolved into a highly anticipated community event and the Nipissing Rotary Club says it is honoured to carry on the tradition. The Rotary Club of Nipissing has supported other community projects such as the Rotary Splash Pad and Playground; the North Bay Humane Society expansion; Clean, Green, Beautiful North Bay, and many
more.
This is a 19+ event. Tickets are $40 or $35 for students and can be purchased in advance by emailing [email protected].
The Nipissing Rotary Club also invites you to reach out to that email if you’re interested in learning more about our sponsorship opportunities. The club will be collecting donations for the university and college food banks at the door — for every item donated, you’ll receive a draw ticket for a chance to win our door prize.
Put on your best plaid and join in for some pints and poutine on Feb. 7, 2025.
