Members of 22 Wing/Canadian Forces Base (CFB) North Bay, the Algonquin Regiment, 33 Service Battalion and members of the Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre will join officials and citizens to mark Armed Forces Day Wednesday, June 5th.
Helping to mark the special event are the Canadian Forces Snowbirds Demonstration Team.
The 431 Squadron arrived in North Bay Tuesday afternoon and the Bird’s coordinator Captain Scott Greenfield took a moment out to talk with the media about the show and coming back to the Bay.
Over 150 military personnel will kick off the parade at Memorial Gardens on Chippewa, traveling down Ferguson Street to First Avenue where they will meet up with 22 Wing officials, the Algonquin Regiment, 33 Service Battalion and members of the Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre at Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 23, at 11:00 am where they will march to the North Bay Waterfront Kiwanis Bandshell.
In addition to the Snowbirds demonstration there will be a number of activities including ground displays of army vehicles and equipment and musical entertainment by the 22 Wing Concert Band and 8 Wing Pipes and Drums.
