On the weekend, a 38-year-old hunter from Scarborough ON, accidentally shot himself in the foot during a hunting trip in the Callander area.

The Male, a proficient hunter, stopped on Byers Road, Callander, and rested the barrel of a loaded 30-06 rifle on his foot. The rifle discharged through his foot requiring emergency treatment at hospital.

The hunter admitted to making a “Poor Decision” in the use of his firearm.
