Each October, the owners of Corner Wines in South River put up a large Halloween display of witches, goblins, and monsters for the community to enjoy.

Tim Hainsworth and Martha Jacobs are now in the ninth year of putting up the large floats and Halloween-themed items just for the fun of it.

Floats include three large monsters and the skeleton known as Steve the Fisherman. There is also a Throne of Bones where people are encouraged to sit on the throne and have their picture taken.

Jacobs and Hainsworth decorated pumpkins to create eight pumpkin people, each with their own backstory. One pumpkin is an American who has fled to Canada to escape a potential Trump presidency; others include a divorced couple with twins, an exotic dancer with a baby, a tourist, and a pumpkin known as Karen.

Kids and adults are encouraged to walk through the exhibits and take pictures or selfies.

There are fewer floats on display this year after Hainsworth and Jacobs gave part of their collection to the Township of Machar for the Oct. 26 Haunted Walk at Mikisew Provincial Park.
