The Near North District school Board has taken the first step in finding a new top administrator.
It’s hired a Toronto headhunting firm, Phelps Group, to find a replacement for retired Director of Education Geof Botting, who retired in June.
“Phelps Group will work with the Trustee Selection Committee for the Director of Education in order to recruit an exemplary educational leader whose vision, expertise and communication skills will best serve the students, families, staff and the richly diverse communities of the Near North District School Board,” says a news release from the Board.
Over the next few months, the recruitment process will unfold and a short list of candidates will be presented to the Trustee Selection Committee for the Director of Education.
It’s hoped a new Director can be hired by the end of November.
Members of the Trustee Selection Committee includes Chair David Thompson, Vice Chair Jeff Serran and trustees Michelina Beam, Al Bottomley, Randy Sheppard, Debbie Williams and Linda Williams.
