Visitors are invited to spend the afternoon of February 21 — Family Day — at the North Bay Museum as admission and activities are free.
Donations will be collected for the Gathering Place as the museum will be open from noon until 5 p.m. for an afternoon of family fun. Plus, visitors can register to create a family tree craft by emailing Raelyn at [email protected]. Proof of vaccination for visitors (ages 12 and up) and face coverings are required.
The run of the Science of Guinness World Records has been extended at the North Bay Museum, but only until February 24.
The fully interactive Science North exhibit began its tour in Thunder Bay last summer before making its way across northern Ontario to North Bay late last year.
Science of Guinness World Records challenges visitors to test their own speed, reflexes, memory, and other faculties while comparing their performances with record-holders for similar activities. Each kiosk offers a different activity, and visitors will learn about the science involved when record-holders perform these amazing feats.

“Visitors will be challenged to reconsider their preconceptions about what’s possible and what they themselves can achieve,” explained Julie Aelick of Science North.
