School Boards in Nipissing to get additional funding for HVAC systems, PPE, Student Transportation, and Technologic Devices

This funding is provided through the Safe Return to Class Fund

Ontario will spend an additional $2,235,700 to protect students and staff within the four local school boards. This funding is provided through the Safe Return to Class Fund.

” We are pleased to see that the transmission of the virus in schools in Ontario has been low, and we plan to keep it that way,” said MPP Fedeli.

School Boards in Nipissing will receive additional funding to supports HVAC systems, PPE, Student Transportation, and Technologic Devices.  

Each local school board will receive:

Near North District School Board -  $1,075,476

Nipissing Parry Sound Catholic District School Board – $401,906

Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord – $347,289

Conseil scolaire public du Nord Est – $411,073

"Although transmission in schools has been low, this funding will be used to improve air quality and ventilation in schools, support online learning, promote student mental health and hire additional staff," added Fedeli.
