The North Bay and District Humane Society is set to host its third annual Curling for Kibble curling bonspiel on Saturday, Jan. 18 at the North Bay Granite Club.

Curling for Kibble aims to raise $10,000 to help offset the cost of more than 20,000 lbs of food and 25,000 lbs of litter used by the shelter annually.

The one-day tournament offers curlers a two-game guarantee as well as food, entertainment and lots of fun. Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome for a fun day on the ice for a great cause.

“Playing in our Curling for Kibble bonspiel directly supports animals in our care,” says Liam Cullin, executive director of the North Bay Humane Society. “Our shelter takes in over a thousand animals annually. Fundraisers like Curling for Kibble help ensure that the dogs or cats in our care get all the support they need to find loving forever homes.”

The cost to play is just $65 per person ($260 per foursome) and sponsorship opportunities are still available. Registration for Curling for Kibble is now open at www.nbdhs.ca/curling
