School board recruiters will be at Nip U

Nipissing University will play host to school boards from across Ontario and recruiters from around the world as the university hosts the annual school board information fair on Friday, February 9, from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. in the Education Centre Gymnasium (room A110).

The fair is an opportunity for school boards to recruit the best and brightest new teachers from Nipissing’s highly respected, and technologically innovative, faculty of education. Currently, there are more than 800 students enrolled in Nipissing’s education degree program and they will have the opportunity to meet potential employers to discuss hiring practices and requirements.

Of the 27 information booths this year, 20 represent school boards from across Ontario, two are from Quebec, and five are international organizations recruiting for Asia, the Unites States, the United Kingdom and the Middle East. The Ontario Teachers Federation will also be in attendance.

In-depth, 30-minute information sessions by school boards will also be conducted throughout the day.
