Herb Osborne lives on Sunset Boulevard which leads to Sunset Park, a popular lakeside area, and he's become concerned with traffic flow into and out of the park.
The narrow roadway splits into two when it hits the park...one way leading in and one way leading out.
But the park is also a favourite drop-off point for snowmobile enthusiasts in winter, many are not familiar with the traffic patterns.
"Traffic is generally okay and it flows smoothly. However, recently with winter and winter fun visitors are entering the park opposite of the enter or entrance signage," says Osborne.
"Today a 4-wheeler was entering the wrong way while a Ram Truck was exiting the right way. An accident was four inches away from occurring."
He says Parks staff advised him to write to council as the signage is not posted properly.
Osborne wants simple signs....enter only exit only. City workers have mounted a no parking sign at the entrance to the park.
"Although this action is a first step forward to aiding safety it does not do anything. The wrong way sign will not deter vehicles entering the wrong way as the drivers are not or can not read. A lettering sign needs to be mounted on the 'white post' that clearly reads 'Do not enter.'
"Another accident nearly happened an hour after the city workers left their job site. This is where a clear sign that clearly says 'Do Not Enter This Way' needs to be posted. This sign will free the City from personal liability claims. Otherwise, the city could be blamed for unclear passageways of vehicles causing bodily harm due to negligence."
It's not the first time traffic concerns have surfaced at Sunset Park. Three years ago residents claimed the traffic at the park and on the lake was getting unbearable and asked if there was any possibility of closing a popular boat ramp.
They claimed to be at their collective wit's end with the constant traffic, noise and pollution from snowmobiles and other vehicles using the municipal boat launch located between their homes and Sunset Park.

The boat launch remains open.
