The North Bay Police Service joined with several community partners including RCMP, Health Unit, North Bay Fire Department, Sturgeon Falls Fire Department, North Bay and District Ambulance Service, Focus, MTO, Separate and Public English school systems to Race Against Drugs today at Memorial Gardens.

The event, hosted by the RCMP, saw small groups of local grades 5 and 6 children navigate pit stops where community partners discussed and demonstrated the effects of drugs and alcohol.

Once the kids had completed the course the children capped off the event by competing in a miniature car race on a racetrack supplied by the RCMP.
