1. Current Situation
There were 8 new fires confirmed yesterday in the province. The fires occurred in the Fort Frances (5), Kenora (2) and Dryden (1) districts. Although these fires were contained, several exhibited good fire behaviour.

It could be an interesting day in the west as high winds and drying conditions persist throughout Fort Frances, Dryden and Thunder Bay areas. Most of the weather stations throughout the east have received rain in the past 24-48 hours.

80 Ontario FireRangers and 2 Agency Representatives returned yesterday from their assignment in BC.

Ongoing Fires
All fires quiet.

35 fires are currently burning in the province. One fire is listed as not under control, while 21 are being monitored. No control problems are expected with current fires.
