Excitement is high for the Smoke 'n Spurs Festival Parade of Lights taking place in Powassan tomorrow evening at 6 p.m.
The event will proceed down Main St. and the roadway will be closed to traffic between 5 and 7:30 p.m.
Pre-parade activities will take place at 250 Clark starting at 4:30. There is also a "Business Christmas Tree" display.
A food drive for the Powassan Food Bank to help out those in need during the holidays this year will take place during the parade.
Following the event, there will be free family skating from 7:30 - 9 at the Sportsplex.
Spectators should be ready for anything weatherwise.
Environment Canada says there is a 60 per cent chance of rain showers in the afternoon with a high of plus 4.
Temperatures are expected to hover just above freezing during the parade, with cloudy skies and a 60 per cent chance of flurries or rain showers.
Bonfield is also having a parade starting at 2 p.m. Saturday, so time to catch both.
