Police to announce 'maximum reward' in violent home invasion

The Major Crime Unit is investigating the case that happened in North Bay in June of 2023

North Bay Police Service and Near North Crime Stoppers are partnering up Friday to announce a maximum cash reward in connection with a violent home invasion last summer.

The Major Crime Unit is investigating the case that happened in North Bay in June of 2023.

At that time, police issued a news release asking residents of the Marshall Park neighbourhood for CCTV footage between midnight and 2 a.m. on June 13.

The areas of interest were:

  • Lovell Avenue
  • Marshall Park Drive
  • Blair Street between Massey Drive and Labreche Drive
  • Labreche Drive between Lovell Avenue and Marshall Park Drive
  • Lakeshore Drive between Marshall Park Drive and Marshall Avenue East
  • Marshall Avenue East between Marshall Park Drive and Lakeshore Drive

At the time, police said there was no reason to believe that there was an imminent threat to public safety.

Eric Krmpotic, Detective Constable, Major Crime Unit, Chief Darryl Longworth, and representatives from the Near North Crime Stoppers Board will all address reporters.
