“I am sick and tired of people dumping their animals in the Tilden Lake community as 'the easy way out'," says area resident Diane Legault.
"We found this poor dog Wednesday ...blind, deaf, severe neurological impairments and starving. This dog was quite old, unable to eat or drink properly. He was dumped here in the last day or so and I imagine he has not moved much in the last day.
"Instead of taking him to the vet to have him properly put down, you leave your 'pet' out in the bush to die. I have so many words for you right now, but I will choose to hold back. Please share this dog's picture and if anybody knows of a neighbor that is all of a sudden missing their dog, please contact the OPP so that we can get animal abandonment and animal cruelty charges laid," Legault added.
The Ontario Provincial Police took the dog to the "North Bay SPCA to be disposed of properly. "
