Ontario Northland and Teamsters Canada Rail Conference Division 910 announced that they have reached a tentative, five-year agreement.
The tentative agreement covers 54 employees working as Motor Coach Operators, Operator Labourers and Dispatchers.
“We are very pleased to have reached a tentative agreement with Teamsters,” said Corina Moore, President and CEO in a news release.
“The union and the employees play an important and vital role to the success of Ontario Northland."
Greg Baker, Teamsters Canada Rail Conference Division representative added, "The tentative agreement will be placed before our membership for their review and consideration as part of our ratification process. Our bargaining committee is recommending acceptance of this tentative agreement to our membership."
.Ontario Northland has reached five-year agreements with all five of its unions in the past year. "This is an important milestone as the 115-year-old organization continues to move forward and transform into a sustainable and valued transportation leader", said Moore.
