The Minnesota Wild of the NHL have fired North Bay native Mike Yeo.
Yeo attended Widdifield Secondary School and played for the Sudbury Wolves of the OHL.
It comes after a 4-2 loss to Boston Saturday.
The club ranked in 11th place in the Western Conference with 56 points in 55 games.
Yeo was formerly an assistant coach for the Pittsburgh Penguins.
On May 31, 2014, Yeo was given a three year contract extension with the Wild.
