TORONTO — The award-winning producers of Water Ways TV are thrilled to announce the latest episode of the series Water Ways: Ontario will focus on the breathtaking waters, adventures and history of North Bay.
Airing on Saturday, Nov. 9 on Global TV (Ontario), Bullitage Media Inc., says the episode celebrates the natural beauty, history, and rich culture of one of the province’s boating gems, and offers viewers an inspiring journey led by host and award-winning broadcaster Steven J. Bull.
The North Bay episode showcases iconic landmarks and beloved local sites. Watch Bull traverse the historic La Vase Portages which hold centuries of stories and are a symbol of resilience and heritage; enjoy a sunset cruise on Lake Nipissing with the captain of the Chief Commanda II; explore the charm of Trout Lake with Sisu Adventure Rentals and learn about the rocking good times of Boatapalooza at Average Joe’s Eatery & Patio.
This special North Bay episode was made possible through a partnership between Destination Ontario, Northeastern Ontario Tourism, and Tourism North Bay — their collaboration and support helped bring the region’s attractions and stories to life for viewers across Ontario.
“Working with Bullitage Media to bring Water Ways: Ontario to North Bay has been an incredible opportunity to highlight the boating opportunities and other unique ways to experience the freshwater adventures that our region has to offer,” said Tourism North Bay Executive Director Tanya Bédard. “This episode captures the essence of our community and the natural beauty that makes North Bay a must-visit destination. We are thrilled they selected our region as the first destination-based episode of the new season, immediately following the series debut with Premier Doug Ford.”
This all-new series focuses on Ontario and follows the award-winning 2022 launch of Water Ways TV which airs across North America on multiple channels. Both shows offer inspiration and education for boaters new and experienced alike and have received the 2023 Canadian Safe Boating Award for “Best Media Contribution to Safety” and the 2024 National Safe Boating Award as “Top Marine Media Outlet”, awarded at the IBEX Conference in Tampa in October.
"North Bay is the Gateway of the North and holds a special place in Ontario’s heart, and we couldn’t be more excited to share these locally famous stories with a wider audience," said Steven J. Bull, producer and host of Water Ways: Ontario, Water Ways TV. Viewers may recognize Bull as an Olympic Host from CBC News Network.
"This episode is a tribute to the natural beauty, history, and sense of community that make North Bay such an incredible place," Bull added. "I hope everyone who watches it starts planning their own explorations on the water in 2025!”
