North Bay man faces more charges of sexual assault. Other victims sought

Police believe that there may be other victims in the community

City police took the unusual step this morning of releasing the photo of a man charged with sexual assault, hoping more victims will come forward with information.

On June 29th  20-year old James Larry Boucher was charged with an additional:

  • two counts of Sexual Assault,
  • one count of choking and
  • two counts of Breach of Probation involving unrelated incidents dating back to 2016.

Initial charges came after a man was at a local licensed establishment where he came into contact with the female victim. Police say he sexually assaulted her shortly after they left the establishment.

Police believe that there may be other victims in the community and say Boucher is known to frequent local licenced establishments.

Boucher is currently in custody and is awaiting a bail hearing today.
