North Bay home to oldest independent shoe retailer

The Board of Management of the North Bay Downtown Improvement Area is proud to announce that Deegan's Shoe Store Limited will be celebrating its 120th Anniversary during our annual Summer Stroll on Saturday, June 20, 2009.

The DIA would also like to announce that not only is Deegan's Shoe Store Ltd 'The Oldest Independent Shoe Retailer in Canada', it is the oldest business in North Bay. Deegan's Shoes has been in the same family for four generations starting with the founder John Deegan to the current owner Ralph Diegel who has been working in the Downtown core for 66 years.

We are inviting all to come down and visit Ralph & Pat Diegel during our Summer Stroll for special savings, music, refreshments and years of memories.

Deegan's Shoe Store Ltd is located at 174 Main Street West in the Heart of North Bay.
