The NoahStrong charitable organization made a generous donation to One Kids Place Children's Treatment Centre recently.
The organization, which honours the November 2020 passing of North Bay hockey player Noah Dugas, handed over a cheque for $25,000 which will go toward the One Kids Place Loan Equipment Program.

That program supports the purchase of some very unique pieces for teens and youth with mobility and movement challenges.
“With this wonderful donation we will be able to support our clients with items that may otherwise be inaccessible for them," said Brenda Loubert, Executive Director at One Kids Place in a release.
We are excited to purchase specialized water access chairs for the beach or swimming pools, adapted life jackets, a snow sled as well as some free-wheels and a specialized portable hoist for families to use.”
“Pieces of equipment like this allow children and youth the opportunity to fully participate in their daily lives, with minimal limitations. Thank you to Jody, Dave, Jorja and the NoahStrong Charitable Organization for recognizing the need for equipment like this and the donation to allow us to support our community children and youth.”
Jody Dugas, mother of Noah Dugas, says this donation hits home.
“Just before Noah’s passing, we were initiating services and equipment with One Kids Place to accommodate his needs once he returned home. This donation is very special to us since it will provide families with specialized equipment to give children and youth the opportunity to participate fully in their daily lives.” said Jody Dugas of the NoahStrong Charitable Organization.
The One Kids Place Loan Equipment program allows families, caregivers and schools to borrow specialized equipment and therapy resources for periods of time when needed and once returned it is cleaned, refurbished and can be loaned out again. The Loan Equipment Program also allows the equipment to be used to its full life cycle and purpose all while giving choice and opportunity to families on their child’s therapy equipment.
