Nipissing University students, with the help of the Canadian Federation of Students will be holding a student rally to help fight in the battle for lower tuition fees and accessible post secondary education.

The rally will begin at 3:30pm in the Student Centre and feature a debt wall, where the astronomical amount of debt many students will be leaving school with, will be displayed. The rally will then continue onto MPP Monique Smith's office to hand her petitions that have been signed over the past month showing students desire for more affordable post-secondary education. The petitions will be delivered with the desire for Smith to read them aloud to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.

"Post-secondary education should not be a dream of a privileged few," states NUSU Vice President External Kyra Knapp "It is important that post-secondary education be available to everyone regardless of socio-economic status. Students across the country are very disappointed with the lift of the tuition fee freeze and are not willing to sit idly by while they watch their ability to attend College or University slip out of their hands."
