The City of North Bay is reporting that six of the community's outdoor rinks are now open and are in fair condition with lights on.

Those include the rinks at the Graniteville, Greenhill and Kinette playgrounds and the Riverbend/Kerr, Birchaven and West Ferris Lions/Massey parks.

The new Kate Pace Way Winter Trail – from Lee Park to Marshall Avenue – is also open and in fair condition.

Meantime, the new 2 to 8 kilometre Lee Park Skating Trail remains closed, along with rinks at Police Playground and the Caldwell-Ellam and Veronica parks. We hope to have these rinks open within the next week or two, weather-dependent.
